My low density 4c natural hair

I big chopped on the 27th of Feb 2016, 3 years plus wow but I've just come to the realisation that my afro would never look like the typical full, dense, thick stereotype afro we see everywhere.

My hair is fine, soft, thin and on top of all that, of low density, actually feels like relaxed hair sometimes in it's stretched form. I haven't figured out my porosity yet but phew there a lot to learn in this natural hair journey.

I've decided to work on strengthening my strands and change the way I handle my hair as I've realised that I cannot handle my fine hair in the same way as some youtubers do theirs. Watching and following several youtubers with opposite hair type to myself wouldn't make mine the same so I'm going to have to find similar hair type youtubers to learn from. I have to love and find a way to retain length and grow this (what seems like) minority, under represented hair type.

A lot of naturals with my hair type get fed up and just wig it all the way, though naturals with thick hair do too but you don't exactly see us in hair ads or product promos. I am determined to stick it through for my daughters (now ages 6 and 4) who also are natural.

Consistency is anothing thing I'll work on, because I just see a band wagon and jump on it; rice water I've tried it, acv rinse I've tried it , tea rinse you bet , I'm a bit of an all over the place natural 😁.
